Young Reporters — applications now open for early 2018

Young Reporters — applications now open for early 2018

1 February 2018

Don’t miss your chance to become one of our Young Reporters! The Young Reporter scheme is back and beginning its fourth year! How do you fancy going behind-the-scenes at your local theatre and interviewing some of the people involved in making it all happen?

We’re looking for four storytellers aged between 17 and 30 who live in Nottingham, Blackpool, Bradford or Darlington. We want to hear from budding writers, photographers and filmmakers who are interested in the world of theatre.  Whether you’re a theatre luvvie or have never been before, this is your chance to peek behind the curtain and tell a story from your perspective.

You'll get to watch and go backstage on a new production of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, interviewing actors and members of the production team while learning more about your local theatre. All your work will be published and credited with your very own byline. Don't worry! We’ll give you guidelines and lots of handy writing tips to get you started!

As a Young Reporter, you need to be available for the week that Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde is on stage at your local theatre.

Theatre Royal, Nottingham

You’ll need to be available for the week at your theatre

The Young Reporter scheme is approved as part of the Arts Council-funded national Arts Award.  Participation will be invaluable for those gaining experience and credits while working toward your bronze, silver or gold level Arts Award.
